How can I report that a guest threatened me with a bad review?
If you feel that a guest is threatening to leave a bad review for their benefit, please follow the steps below to report this to us:- Ensure that everyone you work with is aware that any guest blackmail threats should be reported to you immediately
- Submit a potential blackmail review report as soon as possible to our vacation rental reviews team at vr-contentintegrity@tripadvisor.com
Remember: include as much documentation relating to the report as you can, including email chains, voicemails, photos, etc.
If the review has not yet been submitted
We will keep your report on file. Please let us know, once the guest or another member of this party submits a review by emailing vr-contentintegrity@tripadvisor.com
If the review has been published
If there is a review that has already been posted, you can report the review in your Reviews page. Choose the review in question and select “Report a problem.”
While the review is being investigated and if already published, we recommend you post a Management Response so other travelers can read what you have to say. You can do that on your Reviews section.
Please note: We cannot guarantee that the review in question will be removed. We handle each blackmail report on a case-by-case basis and review the direct evidence and peripheral information available to us before making a decision.
